Commissions
Have you ever thought about owning a piece of art made just for you? Not one of dozens—sometimes hundreds—of prints hanging in other homes, but the only artwork of its kind in the entire world. Hand-drawn, in a time of mass-produced AI images, created specifically for your home and no other.

Commissions & Licensing
What I can do for you
Fantasy environment scenes: landscapes, houses, temples, castles, cities, rooms, etc.
The place you went to for your first date with your partner, the house you grew up in, memories from vacation, just in general real world places.
Formats: game capsule art, book/album covers, web/app backgrounds, and much more.
What I Don’t Offer
Character-focused illustrations, portraits or full comics.
Small characters within environments are perfectly fine, but for character-centric art, other artists will be a better fit.
Printing your custom artwork
We can either let your artwork be printed as a giclée-print on archival grade paper by inPRNT, a printer who I trust and have been working with for years (via private link for your artwork)
Or you choose a printer of your own (both are perfectly fine)
You'll also receive the high defintion PNG file or any other file type of course digitally.
Licensing
Most personal pieces shared on social media can be licensed for personal or commercial use, I usually only post personal work.
Licensing is always less costly than commissioning a new piece.
Let me know how you'd like to use the piece, and we’ll find the right fit.
Note: I license usage rights, not full ownership.
Not sure? Just message me!
Do you accept revisions?
Three iterations (e.g., minor color changes) are included. Major changes (like redrawing large sections, changing the composition or perspective) cost extra based on effort.
What will make it easier for us
Clear instructions, references, and rough sketches help me price and visualize your idea—don’t worry about the quality of your sketch, it usually tells me more than a thousand words do!
Process & Payment
After concept approval, I’ll provide one to three free sketches for feedback.
50% payment is due upfront, the rest before final delivery.
I will update you regularly on steps of the piece, you'll see it evolve and grow regularly.
Payment via PayPal, Wise, stable coins, or bank transfer. Invoices are available.
What will make it easy for both of us
Questions? Message me on socials or at shintermannart@gmail.com.
I can't take on large projects (like complete book illustrations or comics) for low budgets, as they take time from my own work. Thank you.
If you’ve read this and want to commission me, I look forward to hearing your idea - I've seen amazing ones so far!
Do characters in an artwork raise the price?
No, having small characters in a commission who are part of the landscape does not increase the price. If characters are an integral part of the scene and have to be drawn with detail, it will increase the price.
Prices
Prices depend mainly on complexity, categorized into different levels based on detail.
They include full lineart and coloring - black-and-white lineart costs less.
Let's use the following illustrations as an example for price levels:

Sepia or lineart (tattoes etc.) (depending on complexity)
~ USD 200-300
Complexity 1 (close scene)
~ USD 250-400

Complexity 2 (medium scene)
Complexity 3 (full landscape/scene)
~ USD 750-950
~ USD 450-650
Client reviews
"It was a pleasure working with Simon. He worked patiently with me from my rough sketch to the final product. He updated me on his progress all the way through, making sure I'm good with everything before he continued. He was able to incorporate my many ideas into one coherent piece and suggested ideas that helped my game stand out. Most importantly, he fit me into his busy schedule and I did not once feel rushed to finish. Would absolutely work with him again!"
Keven at FathomQuest Games
"I instantly fell in love with Simon's work and reached out to commission a piece. His worlds capture a nostalgia reminiscent of my video game-fueled escapism as a child."
Ryan Hoover, Founder of ProductHunt, Investor at WeekendFund
"I discovered Simon's work on Twitter when I happened across a few of his very creative fantasy settings/scenarios. I really liked the uniqueness of his linework and colours and so when the opportunity arose where I needed a piece of artwork for a digital player's guide I was making, Simon was the first person I contacted. He replied promptly and got to work right away. He was very easy to work with and made requested adjustments quickly and accurately. I would definitely work with Simon again!"
Dan Beckerton, Founder of Cheesemaster Games
"As well as being a fantastic artist, Simon has been a great creative collaborator who breathed visual life into an idea."
William Aryitey, Creative Director of Tenebrific
"After seeing his work and reaching out about a multi-panel collaboration project, I had the great fortune to work with Simon for well over a year. We had a lot of discussion and iterations to work through as I was new to working on something that was so heavily dependant upon the visual side of things. His professionalism, communication, insight, and brilliant expertise made the project a total success. I am beyond happy with both the final work and the process to get there. You tend to sense when you are working with a fellow creative professional who loves their work and respects the effort required to produce something exceptional. That is Simon. Simon rocks."
Kyle Raub, Owner of Eiravaein Works LLC
"Simon knocked it out of the park with his illustrations for our book cover. It is exactly what I hoped for, and he was fantastic to work with, taking the time to understand what we wanted. His style is unique and his talent undeniable. 5/5 stars!"
Joseph Dindinger, publisher Western Front Books
