The fantasy world of Argenta
Argenta
is a high fantasy world - an island realm consisting of hundreds of islands, some as large as kingdoms, others so tiny that only a house and a letterbox fit on them.
A slower world
Argenta is a world where the days are slower, rulers are kinder, and trade disputes are settled over one (sometimes two) shared meals. As I travel through Argenta in my daydreams, I illustrate the scenes that I encounter and will tell you a bit of lore about every scene and Argenta. You might see an artwork of the Lazy Griffin Tavern in Arnasberg, famous for its honeybread and its charming innkeeper who’s heard every tale - mainly because adventurers are always trying to impress her.
Or you might see my painting of the wineries in County Dornmark, nestled in valleys near a dwarven thiefdom, producing wines far superior to those grown elsewhere thanks to the closeness of the mountain folk.
Life in Argenta
Argenta is a realm mostly at peace - where there is no hunger or plague, and people generally treat one another with fairness and respect. But that doesn’t mean it’s without its quirks. Millers still grumble about lazy helpers, apprentices play tricks on customs officers, some mages tend to be a bit arrogant and not every spell goes quite as planned - not to mention the goblin tribes.
It is a world held in balance by the everyday efforts of humans, dwarves, and elves - and they are bound together by trade, guilds, the Empress, crafts, food & mead, quiet stories, and much more.
Argenta is meant for you if you
enjoy warm, thoughtful fantasy that feels a bit like a cozy LotR, but with a focus on the ordinary people, craft and arts.
